Back in the saddle?

Its been....four years since I've had this camera and I haven't done much. Im going to try this again. I have completely forgotten how to work with ISO, white balance, aperature, shutter speed, etc. I dont know anything about deciding what quality to set my canera to, what the values are on my lenses are, and sooooo much more. I need to do some more research. : D My three favorites from today and the ones with the best "quality". I need to get a lens that goes micro. I love the detail you can achieve and the mystery of not knowing what you are looking at.

Camera in hand!

Finally got the camera!!

A digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR). Its a used Canon, EOS Rebel XTi/400D. This is what I have to work with right now with the camera.

50 mm lens, f/1.8, 0.45m/1.5ft.
18-55mm lens, f/3.5-5.6, 0.28m/0.9ft,
52mm and 58mm Canon Filter UV Haze - used to protect the lens I have on the camera

Next are some pictures of me messing around with different settings.
